On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010, Ash Flat Officer, Dan Fry received information from a concerned citizen that they had been at the residence of Christine Jurczyk at 122 Diane Ave. in Ash Flat. The unidentified concerned citizen had seen on the property what was known to be marijuana growing in the back yard of Ms. Jurczyk. Cheif Deputy David Huffmaster completed a search warrant for the property. Officers from the Ash Flat Police Department, Drug Task Force Agents from the Third Judicial District and Sharp County Sheriff's Deputies went to 122 Diane Ave. and executed the search warrant. Approximately 14 marijuana plants, and a large sum of cash was seized from the residence during the search warrant. Sheriff Dale Weaver described the plants as mature. Sheriff Weaver also stated that during a 2009 marijuana eradication mission. Ms. Jurczyk's property was considered a place of interest. Sheriff Weaver flew over Ms. Jurczyk's property and spotted what he suspected to be marijuana plants. With no officers available to respond to the property, Sheriff Weaver responded after landing and found nothing but disturbed dirt where the suspected plants had been. Christine Jurczyk, age 55 was arrested and charged with manufacture of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia.
